Sniff sniff...I'm so sorry to see Studio Gypsy aka Lisa Hankins resigning. Even more sad is that health issues are behind it all. Double sniff....you can read about it here on her blog Gypsyland

I have another picture of these 3 men...plus the next generation youngster. It is really incredible to have pictures of all the generations together!

I used Lisa Hankins' (aka Studio Gypsy) new 'Divine Debris' Kit for this LO. It is wonderfully grungy and can be both soft and feminine and rough/grungy - just right for the guys.

Mending...

...not a favourite thing for me to do. Like fixing or renovating. I leave that to my hubby, who can turn a piece of seeming junk into something beautiful/useful/pleasing to the eye.

But sometimes a little bit of mending on the inside of us is necassary too. The stormy weather takes it's toll and 'things' just wear out a bit over time and we need to pay it some attention. This is what this page is about : reminding me to make time for the mending process.

Well it is hard to act like a bum when you are wearing a crown right? So I shall remember that I am a daughter of the King of Kings...and act more like it! LOL (I need smilies for these blog posts, really I do)

For this LO I used Gypsy Couture's new release for last week (Thursday) called Spunky Explosion. It is just totally delightful. I've been a Gypsy Couture fan for a long time, and I tell you, LisaMarie is just going from strength to strength. I really get excited at the prospect of every new release, because I KNOW it is going to superb.

Also :  Lisa has some items in the Two Dollar Tuesdays at the Digichick today (everything in this category is priced at $2), and these items, of Gypsy Couture's, will be going into the retiring section at 50% off after today's deals. Up The Mountain

I was not familiar with this song (by Patty Griffin), until I heard Susan Boyle sing it and it sounded like a pretty good summary of a lot of what 2009 was like, so I figured it would make an excellent intro page to the 2009 album. You know : the ups and the downs : but in there is hope and there is future, fun, happiness!

Gypsy Couture (aka LisaMarie) has this wonderful new kit in her store today 'Change of Heart' It has a delicious altered feel to it, something I greatly appreciate.

I enjoy making altered books in real life, you know with paint and glue and 'stuff' and have been wanting to get into digi altered as I like the idea that stuff don't crawl out of the cupboards threaten to overwhelm me all the time. You know I think I have enough accumulated 'treasures' to keep a group of ladies in supplies for making a project each (hey! maybe that is an idea?) BUT I really don't want to keep on hoarding stuff, now how else will I get to make my fun stuff then? Why digital of course!!! So I'm going to give it a try and see how I make out. I may hate it, I may love it....won't know till I try, right?

It is almost weekend again...wow! Have a good one!

Great Stuff....

...over at the DigiChick today! They launched their Studio 365 today. With items aimed at Project 365 LO's, but (obviously) not limited to those. Gypsy Couture contributed a selection of really nice items to the Studio. You can see her new goodies HERE.

Out of the six items LisaMarie added, I would say my faves are the Cluster Frames (I so often do multi picture LO's that I always appreciate these clusters. These have separate frames, photo masks and shadows : easy to customize and easy to slip goodies in between your pictures! I LOVE them!)

Winter Dream

I selected a couple of pictures of Toad (the dog) for my LO. Snow is not the most wonderful place to be in the winter (Toad prefers the cozy indoors!) but a dog's gotta get out sometime, right?

The red berries on the twig made me add a bit of red to the LO...it seemed to need a bit of warmth!

Country Christmas Moose

This week a friend surprised me with these little moose (well for moose they are little!) The two of us walked through a store together a few weeks ago, and were amused by these...she then picked a couple up for my birthday. They are a fine addition to my winter/Christmas decor!

It's beginning to look like Christmas....

It seems like everyday I see new Christmas kits in the stores. I guess next week we'll start seeing Valentine's ones? Not that I'm really complaining...you see I love winter kits and Christmas kits and Valentine's kit and summer-play-in-the-water kits...you get the idea right? But I cannot believe it is already time to get those Christmas cards in the mail! Where did this year fly off to?

This new kit by Gypsy Couture Ho Ho Retro, made me smile...love those pinks and the glass ornaments look just like the ones we had when I was little (yes that is a long time ago)This kit is still on sale today btw!

This is baby me in my Mom and Dad's arms. My sisters got dolls, brother got a car...and my parents got more work = me! ( al LOT more work...trust me!)

I think this 'pink' LO will do nicely for my pink loving sister's album!

Sunday Afternoon Drive

Wow! This was a busy week! Look at me only now getting the chance to post this! Ugh!

Gypsy Couture released her latest kit 'Touch of Spice' on Thursday. I love the vibrant oranges of this season! Lisa also released her 'Wordy Alpha' very versatile and fun alpha!

I made this LO with these products, just showing some of the fall images around me. We've been having lots of rain so everything is clean and fresh. I hope the sun breaks through at least a little tomorrow, so I can go capture some more of these on film (or should I say 'chip' ?)

I think it is beautiful, and my LO does not do it justice, but follow that store link and you'll find some gorgeous LO! (remember the kit is on sale today (Thursday) only!

I wanted to leave enough room here for journalling. I was not yet born when this picture was taken, so I need to get a lot more information before I can finish it off with the story!

I used these for my bg in this LO (the green paper is from the Persimmon Pucker PaperPack) and I used Lisa's Page Genies 4 to get those great curves in the bg. The clustered frame, btw, is included in the Persimmon Pucker page Set (2 clustered frames and 2 element clusters)
The picture is very poor quality, so I had to keep it small...

Fun Family Portraits

I like these ones so much more than your stiffly posed ones...maybe that is what we should try with our family picture this year...hmmm especially seeing as the ones we took a couple days ago where ghastly, to put it mildly...ugh.

These pics on the LO were taken back in the last 60's...or maybe as 'late' as 1970. They are so neat. Actually I discovered a few such great shots among the negatives I've been sent. No doubt you'll be seeing them sometime too.

Gypsy Couture's new 'Subtle Shift' Page Set was what I used. It looks suitable old/faded and worn, while still having fresh greenery and super metal and wooden bits. take a look :

The alpha is really FUN!
