Happy Birthday Gogo!

Celebrating a friend's birthday. This page is especially poignant as our dear Gogo passed away recently. RIP...you are missed!

I used Cathy Krenek's "It's Your Birthday" Bundle for my page. It is such a bright, happy and colourful kit!

Colouring Pages - Violets

And for February we have violets! I used 'African Violets' for my inspiration. These little plants are so easy to grow and are so very pretty! They have been a favourite of mine for many years.

I have not yet painted my copy of these, but I did make a start with digital colouring. I think it will be very pretty when done!

The download includes 2 different pages. One is just flowers while the other has leaves as well.

Enjoy and feedback is welcome and appreciated!

And just as a matter of interest - this is what I did with one of the carnation colouring pages for January - still available HERE. I'm planning on using some of the other page's images in an art journal...

Valentines or Anniversary ?

I think this pretty box card is good for either. As for me, this year I am giving it as an anniversary card. I think it will be appreciated as it expresses our genuine love for the couple!

I do so like the effect of the layers in these box cards. Using a selection of coordinating papers from the Reflections "Sugar Plum" Collection adds to fun of visual exploration of the card.

Mary has a brand new "Spring Time" box set in the store, which is free with purchase until Feb 22, 2016. That box of pansies is calling my name....ugh for the horrible exchange rate at the moment. Grrrrr

Birthday Card - Boy

Even after many years of making boy cards I still find it a challenge, so I was very thankful to have the 'Leaping Lizards' cut set from Lettering Delights. I was able to make yet another card that I expect will bring a smile to a boy's face. It makes me smile anyway ;-)

The lizard came together very quickly with simple layering and just a bit of shading with pastels. I put him on a strip of kraft card, stamped with a Heidi Schwapp wood grain stamp. The card looked a bit bare so before I adhered anything on there I sprayed it with a couple of green alcohol inks.

The sentiment was written with the Silhouette Cameo and a Sharpie pen and coloured with colour pencils. I did the same for the inside of the card -

In the end I enjoyed the challenge and process of making another boy card!

I {Heart} You

Cute title that, for a digital scrapbooking kit, don't you think?

Cathy Krenek's "I {Heart} You

There is also a Bundle available, that has a set of cute flairs, alphas and extra papers -

I used this to make my LO for our last anniversary. We've taken a picture every year and I'm almost caught up on the pages to have them printed as a photo book. Hmmmm I'll have to decide on a good cut-off point for the first book. Maybe I'll make it at 30...

I made a cluster overlay freebie for you to use for a page celebrating a love in your life! Enjoy!
