Week 53 - 2010

And here is the final page....I'm double checking my spelling etc, and am uploading the pages...excellent!

Week 53 - again I had to change my original QP quite a bit to accommodate my pictures.

So...shall I continue work on 2008 or shall I finish the wedding album first....hmmmmm.

What a delightful predicament :D

Week 50 - 2010

The second week of December is all done. I have to write myself a BIG reminder that I have a turkey to cook for tomorrow...I'm cruising along, scrapping and baking (fruit cake turned out great!) and seem oblivious to the fact that tomorrow is Christmas Eve. ACK!!!

Maybe I'll watch 'Nutcracker' tonight. That is bound to put me in the holiday feel!!!

So here is my Week 50 and the QP freebie is still available here

Last night I got this image in my inbox! Tanya was kind enough to share her LO using this QP with us. Thank you Tanya!!!

I'm off to go write myself a BIG note on the bathroom mirror so I don't forget to start cooking early tomorrow ;-)

Week 49 - 2010

And I finally get to post my own QP...well not that it looks much like the original anymore ;-) As often I had way more than one picture a day that needed to be shown, so I added them...naturally! I also changed the LO from square to rectangular, all ready to be printed.  Of course seeing as I've change this one so much it means I can use my original again and no one will notice hehehe.

The original QP is still available HERE.  The wordart I used is by Jennifer. You can find it HERE

Week 49 -2010

I'm on a roll now! Yesterday's pudding is made and the fruit is soaking for the fruit cake (my most favourite cake of all) ready to be baked later today! YUM!

Week 48 - 2010

So this is the last few days of November. There is one more page full of goofy pictures of my birthday party - see me there in my dress-up clothes? I was a draughts (checkers) board and had a chess game in progress on my hat. My beautiful jewelery is all game pieces...ah yes, the last word in fashion for sure! And the rest of the friends looked equally grand. Won't be posting that page...all you'll have is a bunch of blurred out faces ;-0 No fun :D

For full credits please see HERE

Just adding finishing touches to the next pages...but now it is time for dinner first...and maybe I'll whip up a fruit (steamed) pudding for Christmas Eve dinner...hmmmmm.

I used this recipe...a winner every time!

Week 2 December 2010

It was so cool to find the last QP in a gallery this morning. I get such a kick out o actually seeing the QP's used. I have the strong suspicion that very few QP's downloaded are actually used in reality. I hope I am wrong. Thank you Marilynn, aka Scrappy Diva for posting this one :D

and here is the QP for the week to come.

Country Christmas is available at Studio Gypsy HERE . Winterland is not currently available.

The First Week of December

Here we are - the last month of the year - WOW!

I mentioned a freebie yesterday. What happened was that I knew December would be very busy indeed, so in October I made myself a set of quick pages for my p365/52 weeks in December. Then I thought that they may be of great help to you too, as you may be just as busy as I am!

My last week of November I ended on a Tuesday instead of Thursday, and made the first week of December run from Wednesday to Saturday (4 pictures) and from then on the rest of the month runs from Sunday through Saturday. So sometime on the weekend prior to the week coming, I hope to post the QP for the upcoming week. That way you can just slip those pictures in and add journalling at the end of the day, and so keep up quite easily!

I hope you will find it useful!

So this is what the page for this week looks like and you can download it HERE

Here is another cool product for busy folks everywhere - a set of Christmas Cards by Rina Kroes. These are also available in 4 seperate sets of 4 cards each. Take a look HERE

I still have weekly pages to finish off and post, so I had better  get cracking! I hope to get my Christmas tree up soon too!!

Week 45 - 2010

Brrrrrr winter arrived with a bang this year. Unfortunately the snow brought a tree down on the road and we were without power for most of Saturday. I had planned to do lots of scrapping....but the good thing is that my Christmas cards are all sorted, addressed and all that sort of time consuming stuff. And it was cozy in front of the wood stove ;-)

So today I did manage to do one week's page. Got last week's to do still. Not many pages left for this year now...

I used goodies from Rina Kroes' new 'Burnished' Collection. Click the image for specific credit links.

Week 45 - 2010

Last week's one will still be fall...but this week's page looks like it is definately a winter page...I'm going to have to dig in my stash for winter kits ;-)

Hope to be back tomorrow with Week 46!

Week 44 - 2010

I have a sneaky feeling this year is speeeeeding to an end. It's been quite a year...but it's been a good one!

Here is Week 44  I win the prize for the goofiest family members....but then I guess as far as the sons go, I must be partly 'responsible' but I love 'em all...oh how I love 'em :D

Week 43 - 2010

Here we go! Week 43.

Autumn is being really nice here in our neck of the woods, but at night it gets pretty cool, so the wood stove makes it nice and cozy. But those chimneys need sweeping, for sure! And I'm glad I don't have to get up on the roof for that chore. My guys can really ham it up and don't mind my flashing camera one bit...but after all these are family memories that need not make sense nor have any value to anybody but us. And a few pictures speak volumes....

I used a new kit by Kimberly Stewart 'Thanksgiving Pilgrims' for my page. This one is suitable for many beautiful LO's Thanksgiving related or not. I would be wonderful for heritage pages too.

I was enjoying working with this kit so much that I made a Quick page...just because it was so much fun ;-) and decided to offer it to you all. I haven't used it myself yet, but I know I will :o)

You can grab the freebie HERE Enjoy!

Have a super Thursday :D

Week 42 - 2010

Where did the year go? I've pretty much decided that I'm going back to doing a monthly page for next year's albums. monthly with extras thrown in. And I'm already sorry. I'll miss these weekly ones. better not hink about it too much as I may change my mind again, and again, and again, and again.....

Week 42 - I'm loving these colours! :D I know the picture of the moon does not look like much here, but it was spectacular! And the baking....well that was waaaaaay too tasty hehehe

Looks like I may just have another freebie for you in a day or two, so watch this space!

Week 41 - 2010

I can hardly believe that week 42 out of the 52 weeks in a year has just gone by (page coming soon) wow...52 weeks looked very very faaaaaaar away back on January 1st!

Week 41 is still full of fall colours. It is looking really pretty around our place right now. We've had some glorious sunny days when those colours just GLOW! Rain in the forecast for the weekend. probably just as well as I have Christmas gifts that need to got in the mail to far away places. And a couple of pages to catch up on. Sounds like a great weekend ahead of me ;-) I'm looking forward to it already!

Be back soon....got a freebie to wrap up for you too :D

Week 40 - 2010

I delayed posting this a bit, because I wanted the stuff to be in the store before I post this here. The goodies I used are part of the new 'U Build It' Collection " Naturally Male" over at Scrapbook-Elements. The only exception is the clustered frames. (Click on the link to see the full credits)

I used a border from Rina Kroes' Collection and all the rest is from Kimberly Stewart's Collection (with the exception of the single pine cone....there always has be a be at least one exception...right?)

I really enjoy going out picture hunting this time of year.(I say that every season, don't I ?!?!) The colours are so delightful and all those fungi aka mushrooms just BEG me to photograph them. They call my name, I'm sure of it!

Week 40 - 2010

Sunny and bright here today...but it does mean it's pretty nippy outside...which of course makes an evening in front of the woodstove is twice as cozy :D

Catch you later gators!

Week 39 - 2010

Spider alert!

There is a spider picture on my page....be warned my intensely-dislike-spider friends ;-) This little girl was building her web right outside the kitchen window, so I had ample time to be fascinated by the precision with which she goes around, attaching each strand perfectly in it's place! A marvel indeed!

And how do you trim the branches of a tree that tall? Well you make an ingenious plan of course...that's my man : always a clever solution to a problem :-D

And every page has blurred friends faces :-)...some things are predictable, right? We had such fun playing 'Mexican Train' (domino game)...and I was pleasantly surprised by how nicely those very easy to make beads turned out...polymer clay is such fun to play with!

Click this heading : Week 39 for credits (the colours in this kit are so nice!)

I have a rotten cold..grrrr....predictable with the changing weather, but stil....scrapping and sneezing don't go well together ;-)

Week 38b - 2010

Here we go...the rest of  week 38 in pictures! I was downloading my Scrapper's Guide Premium Club goodies this morning and just loved the look of the Premium Kit 'Thankfully' by Krystal Hartley. So this is what I used for my page. The cluster is by Gypsy Couture (n/a) and the beaded words/dates are by Kimberly Stewart. The credits are HERE

It was so nice to have the open fire ban lifted, we had to 'celebrate' straight away! Always knew there was a good reason for the rain ROFLOL!
Oh and look at me sorting through letters and cards. I hate throwing letters away, but I could clutter a small room if I kept all the snail mail I get (I have great family members who write actual real letters to me!) I figured, that the battle of the paper clutter has to be decided, and I have no intention of loosing ;-) Oh and we celebrated our anniversary too and the mums on the deck are stunning! Just one mass of blooms.

I'm enjoying my Saturday, I hope you are too ;-)

Week 38 - 2010

When I sat down to do this page, I realized that I had way too many pictures for one page, and I have way too much to tell....so I decided to make 2 pages for this week. This is page one and only has pictures for Friday and Saturday.

Week 38 a

I used an older Page Set and  Danglement from Rina Kroes' "Some Enchanted Evening" Collection I put the beautiful clustering of the Danglement on the edges (some of it will be trimmed off in the book printing process) for instant borders....and I love the result. Flowers and girls galore on this page for sure!

Here is the Page Set ...I doubt it'll ever get 'old'

And while I was having fun with flowers I indulged myself in making a very florally page for my own book.
For this one I used a bunch of goodies from Rina's Marshmallow Collection. The Stacked Papers, Borders, a cluster frame, and a couple of mini kits. You can see the collection HERE and the specific links are HERE

Yesterday I went picture hungting with my camera - the days have been so beautiful : warm and sunny. We can almost forget it is October....and autumn!

Have a great weekend. I hope to get scrapping done, what about you?

Week 37 - 2010

Flying through -again- I know, this is beginning to be a habit! - and dropping off the page for Week 37, you can what I used for my page by going to the gallery HERE

hmmmmm I'm enjoying seeing the fall colours appearing in nature and in decor :D I could never choose a favourite season....I will seem to be totally incapable of making up my mind. Which is of course completely true when it comes to my favourite season, my favourite chocolate, my favourite movie.....

See you later...with Week 38! Whoot!

Week 36 - 2010

Just flying through here quickly with last week's page...before I dash out the front door :D

Although the weather has certainly changed and fall is in the air, some days are just stunning. Look at the early morning sun on the wet alder leaf, sporting it's fall brown colour. One of those days was last Wednesday when I took the 'water' pictures featured here. It was warm, sunny and gorgeous. Perfect for a cup of coffee and a chat with a friend on the beach!
The bottom right picture is of a demo (fine art) it was a lot of fun...nothing quite beats 'playing' in an art studio.

Week 36 (credits here)

Got to fly...and must remember to grab my camera! Have you taken a picture today yet....?

Week 35 - 2010

I'm really enjoying doing these weekly pages. I thought I might be pulling my hair out half way through the year, but am happy and relieved that I don't feel that way at all. I've found though, that rather than absolutely follwoing the picture-a-day 'rule' I enjoy just capturing the week a a whole. For now I am labelling actual days, but that is something I will omit in the future years. For now i would like this year to have a continious look though. Now whether I will do next year on a weekly or monthly basis is something I will decide closer to the end of the year...

So this page features 2 weeks ago and last week's one is almost done, should be able to post that by tomorrow...
I was looking at Scrapbook Bytes 'Grab-A-Byte' goodies and found a set of elements and a paper pack that would be perfect for the wedding album pages I'm working on. So I decided to grab these (at $1.00 each) Then when I settled down to do my page, the kit I thought I would use, just didn't fit....but these new items were PERFECT! Full credits HERE

I LOVE how this turned out!

Week 35

I'm totally pleased with the great items at such a great price...doing the very happy dance here :D Thank you designers...
