Backyard Wildlife

Finding a 'bunny house' full of babies surely must be a highlight for any summer!

I used Lonetta Avelar's gorgeous 'Backyard Oasis Collection' for my page.

As always the parts of the collection are available separately too.

Two Things I Ask - New Journal/Quote Page

When I was young, one of our neighbours had this quote on his desk in the study. It made such an impression on me and has stayed with me all these many years. I finally got round to making it into a printable quote to add to my studio.

I used Lonetta's new 'Priceless' Collection for my page. The items in this bundle are so beautiful, and as always, the bits and pieces are available separately in her Digichick store

Scrapbooking - Family Farm

Wintershoek. Family Farm. Memories.

Poignant pictures of my family and what was the family farm. If every picture tells a story, this page is a short novel.

I used Lonetta Avelar's new 'Sweeping Hearts Collection' for my page. Remember that the pieces of the collection are available separately if you don't need all the goodies right away...

Happy Scrapping! :-)

Day Trip - Scrapbooking Memories

This picture is not very clear anymore, but old and damaged though it may be, it still captures a moment in time. I love it! A whole novel can start from a 'simple' picture like this. It sure sets my imagination going...

Day Trip 1944

I used Lonetta Avelar's "Provincial Winds" Collection for my page. The colours and elements were perfect for this. I chose those Forget-Me-Knot flowers on purpose to add here and the little scatter of 'gears' woks well too, to add a more masculine feel.

There is also the option to just buy the kit, or select which extras you want. Take a look HERE at what is available.

Family Wedding

Something I really like about these old pictures I'm working with, is that they are black and white. Really it makes it so easy to combine with any kit, plus the colours emphasize the pictures and vice versa!

Just look what the beautiful colours in this kit does for these wedding pictures! (That was one of my uncles getting married btw) Take a look at that cake! Doesn't it look amazing? That was my paternal grandmother's handiwork. Family Wedding

I used Lonetta Avelar's gorgeous new 'Love Away' Bundle for this page. Love those colours!

Brothers

I found this picture in my (digital) photo collection. The boys were uncles of mine. I know who they are, but am not sure of the date on this one. Will have to get a final on that but it will be in the 20's or 30's at the most.

I used Lonetta Avelar's "Soul Perch" Collection for my page.

I'm making good headway on scrapping these old pictures I have. I took several hours last weekend to organize the LO's and sift through them to see what remains to be scrapped. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane.

Leaving A Legacy

Hand work is just one of those things that seems to be in the fiber of the women in my family. Both grandma's did it and we still have items made by my great grandma. Such heirloom treasures!
Small wonder then that you will always find 'needles clicking' at our homes. It is just a part of who we are!

Leaving A Legacy

I used Lonetta Avelar's beautiful "Aught Missed" Collection for my page.

You can also buy just the kit and selected add-ons in Lonetta's Store HERE

Heritage Album Cover

The wordart in Lonetta Avelar's latest kit was the clincher for me to use for the cover of my heritage album. The kit is gorgeously vintage ....just beautiful. I did choose a lot of the pinks for the cover, but there's plenty of neutrals to make a more masculine page with this one too!

Here's my book cover :

and here is the Old Volumes Collection

Beautiful stuff!!!

Bold Beauty - Scrapbooking

Lonetta Avelar (Creative Victorian Designs) released a new kit collection yesterday : the gorgeous 'Bold Beauty' Take a look at the whole collection HERE

Although it does have a Christmas theme, I found it perfect for my page featuring pictures of my mother in 1941. It certainly is appropriate for year long scrapping. I just love those wonderful colours! Yummy!
They work so well with these old black and white pictures I have.

I turned my LO into a freebie for you (thank you Lonetta for your permission!)

Before we know it, Christmas will be here! Yikes!
