Brrrrrr winter arrived with a bang this year. Unfortunately the snow brought a tree down on the road and we were without power for most of Saturday. I had planned to do lots of scrapping....but the good thing is that my Christmas cards are all sorted, addressed and all that sort of time consuming stuff. And it was cozy in front of the wood stove ;-)
So today I did manage to do one week's page. Got last week's to do still. Not many pages left for this year now...
I used goodies from Rina Kroes' new 'Burnished' Collection. Click the image for specific credit links.
Week 45 - 2010
Last week's one will still be fall...but this week's page looks like it is definately a winter page...I'm going to have to dig in my stash for winter kits ;-)
Hope to be back tomorrow with Week 46!

What I am Thankful for....
Just a small sampling - this is for the the 'I'm Thankful For...' challenge at ScrapbookGraphics
Click the image for credits in the gallery :-)
What are you thankful for...can you fit it all on one page? I couldn't fit it all in a book. I'm so blessed....

Images of Autumn
I say this every year, but the colours of autumn are so very beautiful. Rich, saturated, intense, glowing.....aaaahhhh
Visiting at friends' place last Sunday, the sun was shining so beautifully and the colours in their garden glowed. So I took my trusty old camera and snapped away. Of course a visit includes coffee...and it looked so good I needed a picture of that too. Yum! It was as good as it looks!

The Danglement
Now if you sign up for the Scrapbook-Elements newsletter before Nov 17, you will receive this gift from Rina -
I also made my LO into a QP for you. Sans a couple of pieces that were not from the page set. And I noticed there was a 'white hole' on the preview image...fortunately I saw that in time to fix the QP's. All the holes are where they should be ;-)
Click on the image or HERE to get the freebie.
There is also a gorgeous Quick Page Freebie featuring 'Burnished' on Rina's blog 'The Reluctant Recluse'
And on this Remembrance Day - let us not just remember those who fell, but also those who stayed behind : the widows, the orphans, the childless. And those who live for generations with the scars of war....they are still paying the price - never forget.

I used a new page set by Rina Kroes "Burnished" for the LO. Rina already has the danglement in her store and borders, cluster frames and stacked papers will be available on Sunday (Nov 14)

Week 44 - 2010
I have a sneaky feeling this year is speeeeeding to an end. It's been quite a year...but it's been a good one!
Here is Week 44 I win the prize for the goofiest family members....but then I guess as far as the sons go, I must be partly 'responsible' but I love 'em all...oh how I love 'em :D

Motorcycles Anyone?
I think this picture is quite a classic. It is in very bad shape, so to show it smaller is a good idea. Lisa's new kit 'The Gathering' worked so well for it : just rusty enough for an older photograph and manly enough to scrap these guys (father & son) ready to hit the road. I used a template by Studio True Blue too. Great templates!

Week 43 - 2010
Here we go! Week 43.
Autumn is being really nice here in our neck of the woods, but at night it gets pretty cool, so the wood stove makes it nice and cozy. But those chimneys need sweeping, for sure! And I'm glad I don't have to get up on the roof for that chore. My guys can really ham it up and don't mind my flashing camera one bit...but after all these are family memories that need not make sense nor have any value to anybody but us. And a few pictures speak volumes....
Have a super Thursday :D

I used a new kit by Kimberly Stewart 'Thanksgiving Pilgrims' for my page. This one is suitable for many beautiful LO's Thanksgiving related or not. I would be wonderful for heritage pages too.
I was enjoying working with this kit so much that I made a Quick page...just because it was so much fun ;-) and decided to offer it to you all. I haven't used it myself yet, but I know I will :o)
You can grab the freebie HERE Enjoy!
