Jedediah Island

From a few years ago...well a dozen actually! I'm working on older year books. It is amazing how pictures can make sounds, smells and memories just flood right back in...

I used Cathy Krenek's Under The Sea Kit  for this. I wanted to keep it simple with the emphasis on the pictures. Of course I wanted to use ALL the yummy elements and goodies in there, so I had to make another LO so I could 'play' a bit more!

This one used a template from the template challenge over at GingerScraps. They have a fine selection of challenges and a free Collab every month for 10 challenges completed.

Here's a look at 'Under The Sea'

Yearbook 2001

Building a shed in a packet - we knew we would need a shed immediately upon moving into this house, so hubby produced this pre-fabricated version with the help of the boys. Once at the new place they had it up and functional in no time at all.

I used Cathy Krenek's "Mud on the Tires" bundle for my page.

The kit is available seperately

Yearbook - 2017 December

Lots of snow in December meant a lot of photo opportunities and a white Christmas. A little disruptive maybe, but oh so beautiful!

Yearbook - December 2017

Cathy Krenek released her Winterberry Frost Bundle early in January, which was good timing for me to scrap these pictures. There are so many fun elements in the kit too, perfect for scrapping those fun-in-the-snow pictures!

The kit and the Add-Ons are available separately in Cathy's store.

Yearbook 2016 - Christmas

Cathy Krenek has a great new kit - or bundle with alphas and more papers- in her store Christmas Traditions

http://store.gingerscraps.net/Christmas-Traditions-Kit.html

Of course I simply had to use this beauty and make the most of getting caught up with the Yearbooks. I'm waiting for the last completed one - for 2013 - to arrive from the printers!

Part of the fun of putting up the tree is unpacking all the mementos from friends in the form of decorations given us over the years. Love the memories they bring!

This kit has a lot more goodies in that I could not pack onto this page.

I did make up a card as well. It is sized for a standard A2 card (4.25" x 5.5") The 'Merry Christmas' sentiment is from Cathy's Holly Jolly kit. I recoloured it a bit to suits the colours in this kit better.

Starting Our Homeschooling Journey

It seems like light years ago now. And I guess in a way it is a long time ago. 19 years ago we started our homeschooling (or home learning if you prefer) journey.

It was "interesting" Ha!

I used Cathy Krenek's new "It's All in The Numbers" Bundle for this page -

Of course I always change the LO for my pages to accommodate the different format that I have our photobooks printed in. I keep both formats because one never knows when the available formats for these books might change. It seems to happen often enough. So here is the 9x12" version of this page.

Have a great week!

Space Museum - Kona

Here's a bit of 'history'. Family history anyway!

The little school at Makapala on a field trip to the Space Museum in Kona, Hawai'i. This was late 1993 or maybe even early in 1994.

Oh my, does that ever bring back memories...

I used Cathy Krenek's new "Reach For The Stars" kit for my page. (the different parts of the bundle are available in separate pieces too. Find them in Cathy's store HERE)

Folks don't miss the Gingerscraps daily download this month (April 2016) You can find the download on the Gingerscraps Blog HERE. The downloads are up for 5 days (which is soooo nice!)

I won't spoil the fun by showing you a preview of the kit, but I will show you a LO made with it...

So head on over to the Gingerscraps blog and start downloading! (the template I used here also came from the kit btw...)

Family Hike

Memories! My hair was all brown (gasp!) and look how little the boys were...wow..those were the days (1998)

Love how the page turned out though...and those pictures are such fun!

I used Cathy Krenek's 'Go Hiking' Grab Bag - all for only $5.00 September 18 - 24 2015.

It is a good deal indeed. This grab bag coordinates perfectly with Cathy's 'Go Camping' (available as a bundle or each pack individually)

Autumn Fun

This feels like a lifetime ago, but it really isn't all that long, is it? Of course those little boys are now men, that 'amazing' vehicle definitely no longer with us...and I have a lot more grey hair!

But the memories are fresh. This was such a nice place to hang out, play in the water, run, kick a ball and just explore...

I used Cathy Krenek's "Fall Into Autumn" kit for this yearbook page.

Ahhhh I really like working with fall/autumn kits!

And the squirrel (Miss Muffet) in the flower pots taking a dust bath...

I used 'Carefree' by Cathy Krenek for this page.

I have a freebie for you today - a Stacked Paper made using Cathy's Carefree

Yearbook - May 2015

Getting on with building the greenhouse. It was a big job, but turned out so nicely...more pictures coming next month LOL.

I used the kit and one alpha from the 'Go Camping' Bundle by Cathy Krenek for my page.

I'm already looking forward to having this book printed. The yearbooks are soooooo nice to hold in your hand and look at again and again. They are also very helpful when trying to remember what happened when!

Exploring Our Countryside

These pictures were taken back in the 90's. This is the first of a 3 page spread. There are just too many nice pictures to leave any out. And the 'boys' were still little, and how do you not scrapbook those 'little boy' pictures?

Exploring Englishman River - and more accurately for this page, Englishman River Falls.

I used Cathy Krenek's new 'Go Camping Bundle' for this page and will be using it for the rest of the pages too I think. I really like how well it suits the pictures!

I'm hoping to get the rest of these pages done this week, but I also want to do the yearbook pages for April (this year). Sounds like I need an audio book and some serious scrapping time! YAY!

Yearbook 2013 -Catching Up

I only have a couple yearly pages to finish for 2013. But there is the holiday section to add, and that has been the delay for me. Still, I'm plugging away at it and before long I shall hold the printed book in my hands!

The 2 September pages - click the images to view in the gallery!

September Left

September Right (Monthly free kit from the Gingerscraps blog)

I used Cathy Krenek's 'Lucky Go Happy' Kit for my September Left page

Yearbook December 1994

Yes, you read the date right! I'm constantly looking back at picture from earlier years that still need scrapping. I hope to one day leave most of the pictures scrapped so that our sons will have an annotated visual story of the family. They enjoy looking at the albums...the books will be in good hands.

This one takes us back just over 20 years. We were visiting with friends in The Netherlands and for both sons it was their first experience of falling snow. It did not take them long to figure out what to do with it though,,,hahahaha

December 1994

I used the 'Snowy Days Bundle' by Cathy Krenek for this "retro" page

It will be so nice to have these books all finished and printed up. What fun we will have remembering together!
