Dress-Up Doll

Being the youngest is a really good deal...except for those days when you become the dress-up doll for your two older sisters. I have no doubt that they got a lot of giggles out of this one....judging by my face I was not very pleased. This picture cracks me up every time I see it!
I purposely left the background large as I wanted to show the context - the front porch of the house and my grandmother sitting behind me reading the newspaper. She would have made sure that things did not get out of hand!

I used the 'Butterflies Kit' by Kimberly Stewart
I also made the page into a Quick Page Freebie for you (sans the stitching & ribbon detail)

Do You Journal?

I do, sometimes....I also like to do art journalling, although I must say those, like the LO below are usually quotes. I found this quote in a book I just finished and even though he states the obvious, we don't always see it, or think about it in such 'simple' terms. That is what grabbed me about the quote.

The Many Faces Of Her...

I just love this collection of portraits. Especially the one top right!

I used Lonetta Avelar's "Insomniac Collection" for my page. It is also available from Scrapbook-Bytes HERE  There is the option to buy just the kit, or selected add-ons, or the entire collection (pictured here)

I turned the border, running along the right side of my page, into a gift for you again.

Thanks for stopping by...and happy scrapping!

Youth Camp LO and a Freebie

Browsing the folders full of old pictures sure bring back a lot of memories. I can just imagine what it is like for my parents when they see, not only these pictures, but also those black-and-white ones I've been scrapping over the years.
For this LO though, I only went back to 1974. That was just the other days, right? Well what is 40 years between friends? LOL

Here's my LO - Youth Camp at Alpha, March 1974.

And the kit I used is by Cathy Krenek 'The Little Things' Aren't the colours the best for my pictures? (and the kit is only $2.00 until tomorrow! (Sept 5))

I know I will use the kit for at least one more LO, so I went ahead and created a border in advance. Thanks to Cathy for letting me offer it to you as a freebie!
