Sister Friends

Sisters can be such fun friends! I'm thankful for my Sister-Friends!

It took several tries, but in the end we had a picture or two for the photo album!

I used the same kit for my 'First Steps' page which I submitted to the Template Challenge at Gingerscraps.

I used Cathy Krenek's 'Capture The Moment' for my pages.

Finally - I made my LO into a Quick Page for you. It as been a while since I offered a Quick Page. Let me know if you prefer QP's or overlays so I know for future freebies ;-)

Dress-Up Doll

Being the youngest is a really good deal...except for those days when you become the dress-up doll for your two older sisters. I have no doubt that they got a lot of giggles out of this one....judging by my face I was not very pleased. This picture cracks me up every time I see it!
I purposely left the background large as I wanted to show the context - the front porch of the house and my grandmother sitting behind me reading the newspaper. She would have made sure that things did not get out of hand!

I used the 'Butterflies Kit' by Kimberly Stewart

I also made the page into a Quick Page Freebie for you (sans the stitching & ribbon detail)

You can download the freebie HERE

Vintage LO's - so special

I would not say they are my absolute favourite LO's to do - I enjoy variety - but they really are special. Of course I'm very fortunate to have a wonderful collection of old pictures to work from. Anyone who has been following along this blog will know that by now!

I recently made these two LO's with a new Page Set (and Add Ons) by Rina Kroes. I'm really pleased with how they have turned out and I know already that I will be making more pages with this collection for sure. It suits my pictures and my idea of vintage feminine perfectly!

Here is a look at the Page Set but take a look HERE at the rest of the Collection you can also hop on over to Rina's blog for previews, more LO's and a QP freebie

I turned my LO (second one featured here) into a gift for you.

Summery Freebie Time

Well the weather man is promising us some summer this weekend. We'll wait and see if it happens, but I'm not holding my breath. I figured a sunny QP may just get us in the mood for the long weekend ahead though.

Here's a better look at the kit I used.

You can get the freebie HERE If you have problems downloading, please leave me a note. I had to change some settings in my 4Shared and just wanted to make sure it is all still working fine for you!

Have a Happy Canada Day...and a great 4th of July! ...and don't forget to drop by at Scrapbook-Elements for the weekend long SALE starting Friday 1st!

More Family Pictures

I was just looking at a disc featuring family pictures taken at the end of last year and the picture on this LO was taken in the early fifties. What a joy and privilege it is to have cameras, pictures and captured memories. Distance is no longer an obstacle either. Pictures zip around the globe in no time at all. Just on the weekend I got a set of pictures from friends that they had taken at our house back in the 80's. Wow! The memories! friends, games, the apartment, the books on my shelf. A real trip down memory lane...

For my LO I used a QP found over on Rina' Kroes' Reluctant Recluse blog.

It features Rina's new 'Cherished' Page Set.

Rina has several items that make up the Cherished Collection. Do take a look, it is beautiful! And Add-Ons are coming this Sunday the 13th!!

See you soon!

Blizzard! brrrrrr

Look what I found on Tammy's blog :D

Isn't it neat? Thank you Tammy..looks GREAT!!

The QP freebie is available HERE

Week 50 - 2010

The second week of December is all done. I have to write myself a BIG reminder that I have a turkey to cook for tomorrow...I'm cruising along, scrapping and baking (fruit cake turned out great!) and seem oblivious to the fact that tomorrow is Christmas Eve. ACK!!!

Maybe I'll watch 'Nutcracker' tonight. That is bound to put me in the holiday feel!!!

So here is my Week 50 and the QP freebie is still available here

Last night I got this image in my inbox! Tanya was kind enough to share her LO using this QP with us. Thank you Tanya!!!

I'm off to go write myself a BIG note on the bathroom mirror so I don't forget to start cooking early tomorrow ;-)

Week Four in December!

Getting better slowly and of course I have lots of scrapping to catch up on! Am I ever glad I made these QP's though...they are really saving my 'skin' this month. I haven't posted my pages yet as I'm waiting to get some pictures from friends, before I finalize which ones to use. I like to keep my options open :D

Meantime...here is the next page for you. All Christmassy because after all this week includes Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I'm sure I will be adding at least one extra page of pictures in my book just for the pictures from those 2 days.
You can download the freebie HERE - Enjoy!!!

Week Three in December!

I'm kinda keeping up with pages and will be posting them later this week. Colds and coughs are always a nuisance, but no more so than this time of the year when there is so much fun to be had...sniff sniff, cough cough... ;-)

Here for today is the 3rd Quick Page for December. Getting a bit more of a Christmas feel here....time to put up the tree if you haven't already, time to get the baking done and put the final touches to those gifts!!

Hope you find it useful! :D

You can download the QP HERE

Week 2 December 2010

It was so cool to find the last QP in a gallery this morning. I get such a kick out o actually seeing the QP's used. I have the strong suspicion that very few QP's downloaded are actually used in reality. I hope I am wrong. Thank you Marilynn, aka Scrappy Diva for posting this one :D

and here is the QP for the week to come.

Country Christmas is available at Studio Gypsy HERE . Winterland is not currently available.

The First Week of December

Here we are - the last month of the year - WOW!

I mentioned a freebie yesterday. What happened was that I knew December would be very busy indeed, so in October I made myself a set of quick pages for my p365/52 weeks in December. Then I thought that they may be of great help to you too, as you may be just as busy as I am!

My last week of November I ended on a Tuesday instead of Thursday, and made the first week of December run from Wednesday to Saturday (4 pictures) and from then on the rest of the month runs from Sunday through Saturday. So sometime on the weekend prior to the week coming, I hope to post the QP for the upcoming week. That way you can just slip those pictures in and add journalling at the end of the day, and so keep up quite easily!

I hope you will find it useful!

So this is what the page for this week looks like and you can download it HERE

Here is another cool product for busy folks everywhere - a set of Christmas Cards by Rina Kroes. These are also available in 4 seperate sets of 4 cards each. Take a look HERE

I still have weekly pages to finish off and post, so I had better  get cracking! I hope to get my Christmas tree up soon too!!

Week 43 - 2010

Here we go! Week 43.

Autumn is being really nice here in our neck of the woods, but at night it gets pretty cool, so the wood stove makes it nice and cozy. But those chimneys need sweeping, for sure! And I'm glad I don't have to get up on the roof for that chore. My guys can really ham it up and don't mind my flashing camera one bit...but after all these are family memories that need not make sense nor have any value to anybody but us. And a few pictures speak volumes....

I used a new kit by Kimberly Stewart 'Thanksgiving Pilgrims' for my page. This one is suitable for many beautiful LO's Thanksgiving related or not. I would be wonderful for heritage pages too.

I was enjoying working with this kit so much that I made a Quick page...just because it was so much fun ;-) and decided to offer it to you all. I haven't used it myself yet, but I know I will :o)

You can grab the freebie HERE Enjoy!

Have a super Thursday :D

Rina's New Marshmellow Kits

Have a great week!

Still going strong......

I'm still going strong with the weekly pages, even if I am slow to post them here! I'm so excited to see the photo book of the first half of the year, it is in the process of being printed...can't wait to get the email from Costco to come and get it!! heeeheee.

So here is Week 29 (credits HERE)

and Week 28 (credits HERE)

I definitely use a lot of greens and browns don't I?

Now way back when Rina first released 'Lush' I had made a QP freebie for you...and promptly misplaced it - sigh-  until last week when I found it again....and here it is. Do yourself a favour and take a look at Rina's entire "Lush" collection (albums coming this Sunday August 8th...I've seen them...save your pennies : you will want them!)

Here is Lush and the Lush Add-On (a full set in it's own right) (there's stacked papers, clusters, frames, borders etc also available)

This freebie uses only "Lush" btw...and you can grab it HERE...Enjoy!

Till next time...Happy Scrapping!

Lush Collection - Rina Kroes

Sign up for the Scrapbook-Elements Newsletter (today!!!) if you would like this gorgeous Quick Page by Rina Kroes!

I featured Rina's "Lush" Page Set in yesterday's post. In this preview you can see that Rina has an Add-On (big one!) coming to her store August 1st. Also clusters, borders and frames are coming to her store this Sunday.

Here is my Nature Album page featuring this Quick Page and a cute female Rufous Hummer sitting on the pole above the feeder (she was keeping an eye on the squirrel who was nicking nectar)

I'm off to finish some pages and hopefully play with some of these 'Lush' goodies some more!

Happy Canada Day!

Wishing my fellow Canadians a wonderful day! I would have loved to offer you something new today...but time would not allow...I hope you can use this QP anyway!

Download the QP's HERE (both 12x12 and 8x8 sizes are included)

The kit -from last year- is still available HERE

Beach Babe

I loved the beach then, I love the beach now. Not much has changed (except my size?)

For this LO (ready for the photo book yeah!) I used Kimberly Stewart's new kit 'Beach Bears'

Pictures/previews/links for this page have been removed due to Designers retiring and stores closing

Beach? Bears? Pink? What is there not to love? Take a look at this :

and a look at the papers (elements and papers are available separately too)

and the adorable alpha

I can just image a whole album done with this kit...12x12, shaped, BB...doesn't matter : it will be a winner!

I made a QP freebie for you featuring Beach Bears. Hope you like it!!

You can download it HERE. Thanks for dropping by!!

Have a wonderful last week of June! (WOW! Already???)
