Week 14 - 2010

It was a hectic week! Funny how some days I have to take special pics for the day...and some days I have too many pics...which is why I added and extra pic on this week's page...that Junco having such an exuberant bath simply had to be recorded. It was soaked completely by the time it was done, and flew off to preen in a nearly bush (have I ever mentioned how much I like birds?)

I spent a whack of hours pulling pictures off disks and into folders so I can find them when I'm actually needing them. This next LO, started it all : I knew I had 2 pictures of myself sitting with dolls and animal 'dolls' in this particular spot in the garden. I finally found the elusive 2nd one on disk #3. ;-) I used items by Rina Kroes and Kimberly Stewart from the new 'U Build it' collection, called Floral Symphony, at Scrapbook-Elements.

And then I've also started on the yearbook for 2008. I got the 2009 copies intended for family yesterday and am looking forward to hearing their comments when they finally get their copies!

Hopefully what I'm feeling is hayfever (so much pollen in the air), but I'm thinking it may be a cold slowly creeping up on me...ugh...as long as I can keep making LO's...I'm on a roll and don' want to loose speed now! LOL

Week 13 - 2010

I did this one in the 'new' format ready for the photobook for this year! You can see I've allowed ample extra paper around the edges for bleeding off the page edges and the spine of the book. I also changed the way I'm doing the dates. As I change the LO's for the new format, I'm changing the dating accordingly. I think this is less cluttery (is that a word?) and it certainly is easier to do.

Week 12 - 2010

Still at it ;-) The photobook finally arrived (this is the one I did of 2009. Monthly pages with some extras thrown in to make 20 pages) and I'm totally pleased with the result!

I opted for the suede finish on the (hard) cover, and will try a different finsh for the next one, simply beacause I like veriety :D Then again, the same finish in different colours could be nice...
Seeing the result and the small adjustments I need to make (to accomodate bleeding off the page) has gotten me all stoked to get more books done asap! LOL.
I'll do 2008 next and go back to Week 01 of 2010 and adjust the psd files so the pages will be ready to print the book for the first 6 months in July!
This Week 12 LO, will be done straight away too. I noticed a grammatical error, so while I go and fix that, I'll go ahead and get it 'book ready'

The neatest of all is how much my guys like the book. Hubby (bless him) was so pleased with it, he really appreciates all the effort I put into these. It is nice to know we both value such things, and our sons seem to value it too, although one may expect them to 'blow it off' at their current ages. It makes me sooo happy!

Week 09 - 2010

One drawback to doing these LO's is that you are keeping track of just how fast the year is going by. I'm collecting pictures for the 10th week of this year...incredible!

I've been using different markers for the monthly dates and week days. Partly because I have several sets in my stash and partly because I would get bored using the same stuff for 52 LO's! Ha! But I think it is turning out to be a good idea, because when I look at the LO's where the months change, it is easy to see where one stops and the new one starts. Like this week's one. I was clever - quite unintentionally ;-)
